I have been blessed with three amazing and energetic children and a loving, very hard working husband. Our home life is always chaotic no matter how much I try to keep things organised. We all have busy schedules and our afternoons are jam-packed with activities.
I am passionate about keeping my kids healthy. We’ve had a few health scares over the years and I know how important good nutrition is.
Packing a lunchbox is not just about filling it with random snacks that will fill tummies. For me it’s important to get a balance of proteins, healthy carbs and dried fruit. Sugar is one of those things that I like to avoid so our dried fruit pieces are never be sugar coated.
I like to give you some choices for your own box. You can choose treats or no treats. The treats are a small chocolate or sweet that appears on day 5, 10, 15 and 20.You can also opt to not include drinks. This is a great option if your kids take their own water bottle to school.
I like to make sure my snacks are nutritious and that there is plenty of variety so that no kids get bored. Now you can simply grab one pre-packed bag each day and pop it in the lunchbox and add a fresh item like a fruit, yoghurt or sandwich. Our bags are clear plastic so you can see what’s going in without having to unpack.
This is lunchbox packing without the drama – lunch is Packed!
